Positive Affirmations

It’s been about a year and a half since I begin my spiritual journey and living a more positive life. I feel happier than I ever have and I feel like I have more control over my life and my emotions. I learned a lot from Dr. Bruce Wayne, Gabrielle Bernstein, and Louise Hay. If you don’t know who they are please Google them or watch their videos on YouTube ASAP! Their spiritual teachings have truly changed my life. I’ve been reading a book by Louise Hay called “You Can Heal Your Life”. In the book she constantly stresses the importance of positive affirmations.

Positive affirmations are positive statements that help you overcome self-sabotaging & negative thoughts. These affirmations help make positive changes in your life by helping you visualize and believe in all that you are affirming to yourself.

It kind of goes hand-in-hand with the idea of speaking things into existence. Once you speak these positive affirmations out loud they become engraved in your subconscious and are more likely to become your reality. I believe the usage of positive affirmations in my life was very effective in my confidence and overall happiness. You can use positive affirmations for any aspect of your life.

Now before you get completely turned off and think it’s cheesy, please understand that this really does work. It is all about changing your mindset and perception. A positive outlook will help one achieve positive results. We must avoid self-defeating negative thoughts and statements, in order for change to occur, to feel better, and live more joyful lives.

Each day I like to start off by speaking my favorite positive affirmations out loud. “Today is going to be a really good day. I am perfect. I am whole. I am complete.” I’ve noticed that it’s hard to have a bad day once you truly speak these positive affirmations and believe them. These positive thoughts stick with you and enhance your overall energy and mood.

If you’re in a funk and what change in your life, try positive affirmations! All you have to do is identify your negative thoughts and statements, and make affirmations out of those thoughts.


Negative thought: change is so scary I feel uncomfortable in new situations.

Positive affirmation: I love change and easily adjust myself to new situations.

Try starting your day off with speaking positive affirmations out loud to yourself and let the magic unfold! You will see your negative beliefs subside while allowing positive thoughts to become your truth. A better quality of life starts with a positive outlook, and affirmations are an easy way of programming this outlook into our brains. Give it a shot and see all the good that can come from it.

    A daily practice helps to keep the small things in perspective. In this high-speed world you can easily lose sight of how large the small things really are. When healthy you may forget to think of how much you appreciate it. A simple morning affirmation sentence of “I am healthy” can go a long way. As you continue this practice, others take note and you begin to help those around you without even trying. This, in turn, helps keep you focused.
