I think I got so wrapped up in trying to figure out what people “wanted” to read. I forgot what it meant to be organic. I forgot why I loved writing. Honestly, while starting my career I feel as though blogging has become a chore. They say in order to have a successful blog you must post at least 4 times a week. Im lucky if i can post 4 times a month. Its sad because there is alot I want to share. I had to wonder – what stops me from writing, or actively posting?
Yes, I have a full time career, but writing a blog post hardly takes alot of time at all. I realized it was just me overthinking about my blog. I think way too much about who reads it, and how they will perceive it. I only wanted to talk about popular topics. Caring too much about what people thought of my blog, was basically putting my blog at a stand still. Caring too much about others perceptions seems to be a reoccurring theme in my life.
I’m going to start writing for me again. I will write about anything and everything – just the way I did when I first started my blog, back when I would write almost daily. I’m not going to focus on the popularity and number of readers anymore. I’m taking back control of my content, and making #leezarants organic and fun again. I’m excited to bring more of myself back to this blog, instead of trying so hard to appease people writing motivating and inspirational content. Im sure it got boring anyways. 😉 Explore my mind – forreal this time. I pinky promise to post more. xo
